ADOPT A PIG
This is how you can have a pig that’s all yours and that we will look after and raise organically in our dedicated area of 4 and a half hectares.
The pigs will grow to weigh approximately 140/150 Kg. We will then hand-produce all kinds of cured meats respecting traditional methods and to a high quality. Most important in cured meats is the raw material: we guarantee a healthy and natural diet without the use of growth hormones or any other pharmacological treatments.
You will therefore be very confident in what you are eating.
COME AND PAY A VISIT
You will be able to visit your pig between April and December to see first-hand the level of well-being in which it lives and the quality of its feed.
In particular: in December, during the processing period, you will enjoy grilled ribs and chops and be able to collect any fresh cuts, sausages, and coppa; in April, salami, lonzini, capocolli, and pancetta will be ready; and at the end of November, in addition to collecting the cured hams, you will also be able to taste the new olive oil.
All of these are perfect opportunities to spend a few relaxing days at our agriturismo.
WHAT YOU’LL EAT
From a whole pig you can get approximately:
– 2 hams (prosciutto crudo)
– 4 loins (lonzino)
– 2 capocolli
– 2 rolls of bacon (pancetta)
– 2 pieces of lard from the pig’s neck (guanciali)
– some salamis approx. 500 gr each
– 2 kg brawn (coppa)
– pork chops
– 2 kg fillet
– Head
– Trotters
– Lard
For an overall value of around €1,800
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST
The cost of adopting a whole pig is €1,600, with an initial deposit and the remainder payable in instalments.
If paid in full upfront, the cost is €1,500.
It is also possible to adopt half a pig. In this case, both the cost and the resulting products are exactly half.
The price refers to the final product and includes all expenses. Shipping costs are not included if you are unable to collect the goods in person.
